You play Baccarat (it is also called Punto Banco) in a community. Everyone is interested in the outcome of one hand. Cards are distributed by a virtual dealer and you can bet in two ways: as the banker (Banco) or as a player (Punto). When you are a player, you will bet on either Punto or Banco, whereas as adealer, you can only wager on Banco. You get two hands and have to decide which one will win, or predict that they will tie. Payment is even money: Bet $1 and get double ie. $2 back. Your winnings as Banco (dealer) are subject to a 5% commission for the casino because Banco wins more often.
Steps in Playing
• You get a 2-3 card hand. • You star with two cards, where the dealer holds two cards more. • You expose your cards, so does the dealer and you see who wins. • If you have a 8 or 9 hand (nine being the highest) this is a 'Natural' and you win. Otherwise you may be dealt a third card (depending on Casino rules). • If you have the highest-scoring hand, you win.
Rules
1) No card above 9 (face cards and 10s) has any value. 2) Every card less than 10 is counted its face value. 3) Aces are valued at 1. 4) Card suits have no value. 5) If your card count reaches double digits, you drop the left digit (so 15 becomes 5 and 25 also becomes 5).
